New here, or just need a refresher? This page walks through everything KeptInCheckMate can do - from creating an account to the finer points of keeping (or being kept) accountable. Nothing below is a substitute for a real conversation with your partner, but it should answer most "how do I…" questions.

Getting started

How to register

Tap Create account on the login screen and give us a name, an email address and a password (at least 8 characters - make it a good one, this is a site with secrets to keep). That's it: no invitation code, no waiting list. Once you're in, you can look around on your own before you connect with anyone.

One more step first, though: we'll email you a verification link, and you can't log in until you click it. Consider it a taste of what's to come - a little gatekeeping, right from the start. Didn't get it? Check your spam folder, then use Resend verification email on the login screen.

Logging in

Use your email (or name) and password from the login screen. Forgotten your password? The Forgot password link will email you a reset link - assuming you still remember which inbox you used, of course.

Install on your phone

KeptInCheckMate is a Progressive Web App, which is a fancy way of saying you can pin it to your home screen and it'll behave like a real app - its own icon, its own window, no browser address bar reminding your keyholder how much time you've spent staring at this page. It also means faster loading and notifications that feel a little more official.

On iPhone or iPad (Safari)

1. Open this site in Safari (the install option only shows up there, not in Chrome or other browsers on iOS).
2. Tap the Share icon (the square with an arrow pointing up) in the toolbar.
3. Scroll down and tap Add to Home Screen.
4. Confirm the name and tap Add. A KeptInCheckMate icon now lives on your home screen, ready whenever duty calls.

On Android (Chrome)

1. Open this site in Chrome.
2. Tap the three-dot menu in the top-right corner.
3. Tap Add to Home screen (or Install app, depending on your Chrome version), then confirm.
4. Alternatively, Chrome may offer an Install banner or icon in the address bar on its own - tap that if you see it, same result.

Either way, no app store required, no permission from anyone but yourself - which, on this site of all places, might be a nice change of pace.

Your account

How to set a profile picture

Want a face (or a smirking emoji, or a photo of the hardware doing the talking) next to your name instead of a plain grey silhouette? Head to your Profile page and click Upload picture. PNG, JPEG or WebP, up to 10 MB - we'll crop it to a square and shrink it down to a tidy 64x64 thumbnail ourselves, so don't sweat the framing too much. It shows up next to your name on the Partners page, your Stats sections, and in Messages - only for people you're actually connected to (or previewing a connection request from), never displayed to strangers. Upload a new one any time to replace the old one, or hit Remove to go back to the silhouette.

How to change your password

Head to your Profile page and open Change password. Enter your current password plus the new one and confirm. Change it as often as you like - your keyholder can't see it, only that you're a good, security-conscious account holder.

How to delete your account

Had enough, or just tidying up? Open the Danger zone at the bottom of your Profile page, enter your password, and type DELETE to confirm. This is permanent and immediate - your devices, lock history, releases, messages, contracts and any connection you have get wiped along with your account, and whoever you were connected to is told the connection is gone. There's no undo, so make sure before you click it. (If you're an admin, you'll need to have that access revoked first.)

Connecting with a partner

A relationship on KeptInCheckMate always has two sides: a keyholder and a locked partner. A keyholder can hold the keys for as many partners as they like, but a locked partner only ever has one keyholder at a time - so choose wisely who you hand your key to.

Yes, you can be both at once: a keyholder for one person while someone else holds your key. KeptInCheckMate doesn't judge your relationship graph.

How to connect

1. Open your Profile page and grab your personal connection link.
2. Send that link to your partner however you'd normally talk to them.
3. When they open it, they'll be asked to log in (or register first), and then to accept the request.

Who chooses the type of relationship?

The person who opens the link - not the one who sent it - decides which role they want: Keyholder or Partner (to be locked). The link's owner automatically gets whichever role is left over. So if you're sending out your link hoping to be handed the key, make sure the other person actually knows what they're agreeing to before they tap that button.

As soon as the request is accepted, both of you get a notification on the Messages page confirming the connection and spelling out who's holding the key - so there's no "wait, which one of us agreed to what" confusion later.

Changed your mind, or things ended? Either side can remove the connection from the Partners page. To avoid accidental heartbreak (or accidental freedom), you'll need to type the other person's name to confirm.

Messages & notifications

The Messages page is a shared timeline between you and your connected partner, mixing direct messages with system notifications (like a new lock-in or release, color-coded so you can tell at a glance which is which). Unread items show a badge next to the nav link and are marked read as soon as you open the page - so no, you can't quietly peek without them ever knowing you were there. One notification gets special treatment: an immediate-lock request from your keyholder arrives in red and impossible to miss, because some things shouldn't blend in with the rest of your inbox.

Need to show, not tell? Attach a photo to any message - PNG, JPEG or WebP, up to 10 MB. We quietly shrink and recompress every picture on our end before it's stored, so your keyholder still gets the evidence without your storage bill (or ours) getting out of hand. Don't expect gallery-print quality; do expect it to load fast.

Don't want to keep the app open just to know the moment your partner checks in (or your keyholder comes calling)? Flip on push notifications from your Profile page's Notifications section, on each device you'd like to hear from us on. It's strictly opt-in and per device - nothing pings anyone until you say so. What you'll actually see on your lock screen is deliberately vague ("you have a new message"), never a name or the juicy details, because your business is nobody else's - not even your phone's. On an iPhone you'll need to install the app to your home screen first (see Install on your phone) - Apple only allows push notifications for installed web apps, not regular Safari tabs.

For keyholders

Welcome to the fun part. Once you're connected, KeptInCheckMate gives you a real-time window into what your locked partner is (or isn't) up to.

Managing and observing your locked partner

• The Partners page shows your partner's current status at a glance - locked or not, which device, and since when. If that "since" keeps getting longer, you're doing something right.
• The Stats page adds the receipts: the percentage of time they've spent locked, a breakdown per device, and a full history of every lock-in and release - including the reason they gave for asking out. Read those reasons carefully.
• That same page also tallies their confessed releases: how many, how long it's been since the last one, and the average number of days between them - so you'll never have to take their word for it again.
• You can't lock or unlock the device yourself from here (that button lives on their side), but you'll always know exactly where things stand - which, let's be honest, is most of the control that matters.
• If they're currently unlocked, a Request immediate lock button appears right there on the Partners page - your not-so-subtle way of saying "now would be a good time." It only shows up once they've actually registered a device (asking someone to lock up with nothing to lock into would just be cruel), and it disappears the moment you've sent it, replaced by a quiet note that your request is waiting on them.

Uploading a chastity contract

Open the connection on your Partners page and use Add chastity contract to upload the rules you've agreed on - a PDF or an image (PNG, JPEG or WebP), up to 15 MB. Once it's up, your partner can view and download it any time, but only you can replace or remove it. Consider it your signature move: the rules are yours to write and yours to enforce.

Setting rules and assigning chores

The contract sets the big picture; the Rules & Chores section on that same Partners card is where you sweat the details. A rule is a standing expectation - "no unlocking without me present," "check in daily" - filed under a schedule/activity/communication category, that stays in force until you archive it. A chore is a one-off task with an optional due date - clean the house, send a photo, journal about your day - that gets marked off once it's done rather than lived with forever.

Start typing a title and we'll offer suggestions plucked from a curated list (our admins keep it fresh), but nothing's stopping you from writing your own from scratch. Edit a rule and its acknowledgment resets - your partner has to actually re-read it, not just nod along from memory. Retiring something? Archive a rule or cancel a chore instead of deleting it, so the paper trail survives even after the obligation doesn't.

Keyholders can be kept too

Holding someone else's keys doesn't mean you're off the hook yourself. If you log your own releases on the Devices page - whether or not you own a registered device - your Stats page will show your own release count, time since the last one, average days between them, and a full release history right alongside whatever you're tracking for your partner.

For locked partners

Being kept accountable starts with being honest about your gear and your status. Here's everything you're in charge of - which, appropriately, isn't all that much.

Adding devices

On the Devices page, add each device you own with its manufacturer, model, and sizing details. Start typing and we'll suggest well-known cages and their models, but don't feel boxed in - type your own manufacturer or model (yes, even your janky homemade 3D-printed rig) and it'll be saved exactly as you entered it. You can edit or delete a device later, though deleting one doesn't erase the history it already earned you.

Locking in and asking to be released

• From a device card, tap Lock in to start a session - you can optionally backdate the start time if you were, ahem, running behind on paperwork.
• You can only be locked into one device at a time, so no double-dipping. Every other device stays greyed out until you're free again.
• Tap Release when it's time to come out, and you'll be asked for a reason. This isn't optional - a clear record of "why" is the whole point, and your keyholder will see it on their end.
• If your keyholder decides you've been unlocked long enough, you'll know about it: a request for an immediate lock shows up on your Messages page looking exactly as urgent as it is - impossible to miss, with a Comply button that takes you straight to your devices so there's no excuse about not finding the page in time.

Your stats

Visit the Stats page for the numbers you can't talk your way out of: percentage of time locked since you joined, a per-device time breakdown, and a complete, timestamped history of every lock-in and release with your stated reasons attached. Your keyholder sees the exact same numbers - so make them numbers you're proud of. No device registered yet but you've still been confessing releases? You'll still get a stats section - just the release count, streak, and release history, waiting for you to add a device.

Confessing a release

Had a release? There's a card for that too, right on the Devices page. Log when it happened and pick how, from a preset list (masturbation, partner-assisted, intercourse, wet dream, ruined orgasm) or type your own if none of those quite capture the occasion. It gets added straight to your permanent record - total release count, time since the last one, and the average days between them, all sitting proudly on your Stats page (and a quick "days since last release" reminder greets you on the Dashboard too) - for your keyholder to admire.

How contracts work for you

If your keyholder has uploaded a chastity contract, you'll find it on the Partners page, ready to view or download whenever you need a reminder of what you agreed to. You can't edit or remove it yourself - that pen belongs to your keyholder alone. Read it, know it, and try not to need to reread it quite so often.

Acknowledging rules and completing chores

Any rules or chores your keyholder sets show up in the same Rules & Chores section on your Partners page. Rules just need a tap of Acknowledge to confirm you've actually read them - and yes, if your keyholder edits one afterward, it goes back to "unacknowledged" and you'll need to confirm it again, no skimming allowed. Chores get a Mark complete button once you've done them; a cancelled chore simply disappears from your to-do list without you needing to do anything.
